Ben Lomond Water Infrastructure

To support snow-making activities and tourism operators at Ben Lomond National Park, PWS installed two metered water off-take structures with frost-proof enclosures. The dual DN200 outlets provide a metered connection point for the infrastructure owner to monitor water usage by private operators.

PWS managed unique environmental challenges during the supply and installation of DN200 HDPE pipe, valve assemblies with flow meters, and lockable frost-proof enclosures. Recognising the potential for freezing at the location, we installed bleed valves on the valve train to prevent water from freezing within the system, ensuring uninterrupted snow-making opportunities.
